Laboratory Services

The Summit Hospital Laboratory is commited to offer quality patient care through the use of state-of-the-art equipment and professionals with high standards of service. We hope that you will choose Summit when your care calls for laboratory services.

The Summit Hospital Laboratory is CLIA certified and accredited by the College of American Pathologists. The lab operates seven days a week and is staffed to perform outpatient testing from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.

A satellite drawing station is located at 8369 Florida Blvd., Suite 7B in Denham Springs. The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This location is most convenient for residents of Livingston Parish. We also provide outreach services to several nursing homes, dialysis clinics and physician offices in both East Baton Rouge and Livingston parishes.

The Summit Hospital Lab performs a wide variety of tests including basic and comprehensive chemistry profiles, lipid panels, CBC, coagulation studies, therapeutic drug testing and many others. We also have a full microbiology lab and blood banking services.
